Who are we?
The Bristol & Avon Roadrunners began in 1979 as the Yamaha Owners Club,
but as the members changed bikes and non-Yamaha owners showed an interest
in the club, the club started to accept all motorcycle owners and consequently
changed it's name.
The bikes, the name and the members may have changed, but the basic aims
are still the same today as they were back at the beginning.
The aims of the club are to provide social events for members and their
motorbikes.
Every year the club gets together at an Annual General Meeting and decides
who will be looking after the club's finances and administrations. Members
also make decisions at the club's regular monthly meetings (always the
third Wednesday in the month).
In addition to regular runs, usually on Sundays, other events include:
-
* Visits to other motorcycle clubs.
* Skittles/darts matches against other clubs and organisations.
* Camping weekends.
* Parties.
More info on the club will be added at a later date (watch this space).
