Pet Food Run - 28th March 2010
A very big Thank You to everyone who attended our Pet Food Run this Year.
There were 67 bikes on the ride, which was a fantastic turnout. Along with the 4 Parcel Force vans it made an impressive sight. We got a bit broken up going round the ringroad, but after regrouping in one of the lay-bys we made our way to Bath Cats & Dogs Home, where 2 of the vans were emptied of their loads of pet food and bedding.
After a break here to allow people to look around the animals, have some soup, etc, we then headed to Bristol Cats & Dogs home where the last 2 vans were unloaded. We then headed over to the Colosseum, Redcliffe, to finish the day.
There are a couple of photos up in the gallery, more to follow.
Rich's Funeral - 27th April 2009
It was fantastic to see so many bikes turn up for Rich's funeral run, there were 22 bikes at the final count. The motorbike and sidecar hearse was very appropriate. The route to the crematorium was very well chosen to avoid as much traffic as you can avoid at 9am on a Monday. We only really got held up by a milkfloat, which is quite ironic considering Rich used to be a milkman. Kayla coped very well during the funeral, and the Wake was held at the Colosseum. Rich also had the last laugh by making us all ride in the rain, which cleared up while we were in the Colly.
Fred's Hospice Run - 19th April 2009
Fred's Run was a great ride out. The final count was approx. 450 bikes on the day. The ride was well organised and we all managed to stay in one group. There was a full range of rides, cruisers, choppers, sportsbikes, trikes, the full works. It was a very impressive sight to see so many bikes on the road in one go, and also to see the promenade at Weston completely full of them. The final amount raised on the day was ?3,480.
